if news pending and no particular news if stock it will drop immediately a big number, never buy if you hear this situation and all existing position will be a loss, example UUU went up 13.8 and news pending, after company said no news, when open again it dropped under 7

T1 halt - release  news (more common)

T12 halt - require additional information  needed (stock exchange requests)

LUAD halt -  change 10% in 5 min, or 10 min

Stock chart pattern to win for day trading (I learned from Harry Boxer https://www.thetechtrader.com/)

 

Stocks moves like waves, you have to see the chart which has a 45 degree trend line

Use bracket order to profit the high or exit the stop

I picked up some at $3.70 below and above the VWAP line, wait till the close to end of the day

draw a trend line, the trend line showing it could go $4.30

Sold at $4.30 and $4.26 (I did not sell all at $4.30 and ended up stopped out at $4.26)

it dropped out the the trend line quickly after I sold it at  (see that red bar at end of the chart)
